Investigations Indicate that both Enfamil and Similac Infant Formulas May Be Blamed for NEC in Babies.

Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) causes inflammation leading to intestinal tissue damage and tissue death. NEC is the most common cause of death in hospitalized premature infants more than 2 weeks old.

Mead Johnson & Company, LLC and Abbott Laboratories (the makers of Enfamil and Similac) are being accused of using cow’s milk-based formula products that can cause premature infants to develop life-threatening necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC).

It is now established scientific fact that “Premature infants fed formula are more likely to develop necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) than those who are breastfed.” Despite this knowledge, the companies behind these popular baby formula products have done nothing to warn new parents – and medical professionals – about these dangers

If your child was fed Similac or Enfamil in the NICU, you may qualify for up to $800,000 in compensation.

Payments may be increased or decreased on a pro rata basis.
