Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to receive a settlement for a class action lawsuit?

There is no definitive time frame to resolve the legal conflicts at the center of a class action lawsuit. Several factors can influence how long a class-action lawsuit takes.

If you settle a class-action lawsuit, you could receive compensation within a year. However, keep in mind that this is only an estimate. Some cases take much less time, but you may wait much longer for a resolution in other situations.

Settlement Research, and/or one of the firms administering the case will reach out with any information regarding compensation when available.

Why am I being charged an "administration" fee when filing a claim?

Filling a claim with Settlement Research is totally free. If you qualify for compensation from a class action lawsuit, you will be contacted by a legal representative, typically by postal mail.  There is no fee for this service.

However, if you would like to receive an up-to-date status on your claim via email from our team, there is a small, one-time administrative fee that may be required.

This service is recommended as personalized updates to the status of your claim are emailed when they become available. This service is optional and does not affect your qualification for compensation.
