Ben’s Original has issued a nationwide voluntary recall of several Ready Rice products after discovering they may contain small stones that could cause injury if consumed. The recall affects specific batches of Long Grain White, Whole Grain Brown, and Long Grain & Wild rice, all with Best By dates of August 2026.
The company says the stones are “naturally occurring” from the rice fields, but consumers are raising concerns about quality control and product safety. Though no injuries have been reported, the discovery of foreign objects in packaged food could expose Ben’s Original to potential legal action.
Recalls involving physical contaminants often lead to lawsuits—especially if consumers were injured or misled about product safety. A formal class action lawsuit may soon emerge, allowing affected buyers to seek compensation for damages or potential health risks.
